Encrypting Files

Required

• Everymail Drive (How do I know if I have Drive?)

• Everymail Guard Encryption (How do I know if I have Guard?)

To Encrypt a File on Drive

1. In Drive, select the file you'd like to encrypt

2. Click More actions in the toolbar

3. Select Encrypt from the drop-down menu

To Encrypt a File as you Upload

1. In Drive, click the New button
2. Choose Upload file (encrypted)
   
3. Select the file(s) you want to upload
4. Click Open

OR

1. Open Drive

2. Drag the file(s) from your operating system onto the Drive window
3. Release in the lower half of the window, where you see the text:
   
   Drop files here to encrypt 
   

NOTE: You can verify that your file is encrypted by the Lock icon next to the file.

To Open an Encrypted File

1. Double-click on the file

2. Enter your Guard password

3. (optional) Set how long before Everymail will Ask for password again

4. Click Confirm
